CLIENT IMPACT

R.A.M.P.S. would like to thank our hard-working volunteers who made the following stories possible.

Mr. and Mrs. S.

This gentleman is 64 years old and is confined to a wheelchair. He must travel to dialysis three times a week. His wife has heart and breathing problems, making it a significant (and unsafe) challenge for the two of them to get his heavy, motorized wheelchair up and down the four steps into their apartment.

Mr. and Mrs. S. were so excited to receive this wheelchair ramp, courtesy of our Collegiate builders) that they both took turns riding up and down the ramp in the wheelchair.

Ms. B.

This client lives alone and relies on a walker or a wheelchair daily. She had a brain tumor which affected her much in the same way a stroke would affect someone - with severe changes to her mobility.

She is delighted with her new ramp, and used it the following day to get to her doctor appointment.

Mrs. G.

This ramp recipient is a young victim of a stroke. Up until her stroke she and her husband worked everyday. She now relys on her family to care for her.

Her sister-in-law shared that the two of them can now go outside together, where she enjoys the flowers and landscaping done by the CSEI students.
